If you have an electric Car battery then you are probably wondering what you are going to do with that battery once it has reached the end of its life. Well, a lot of people make the mistake of thinking that they can just dump their old electric car batteries in a land fill once they have finished with them. This is definitely not the right way to dispose of them. The whole point of the electric car battery is to help save the environment, and using a land fill is definitely not doing this at all.

The first thing that you should do is take a look at the manual or users guide that come with all electric car batteries. More often than not you will find a section about disposing of your battery once you need to buy a new one. A lot of manufacturers will actually come and collect the battery and dispose of it for you. If you can do this then you do not have to worry about harming the environment because they will take care of everything for you and dispose of the battery correctly.

If your battery did not come with a users guide or anything similar then you can take a look online. There are a lot of sites out there that will tell you what you can do with your batteries once you have used them and bought a new one.
